Delta Cleaning quality policy

Delta Cleaning Company is a Quality Endorsed Company for the purposes of Commercial Cleaning under AS/NZS ISO 9001-2000, registered number 1825, certicate of registration issued on 19 November 2004.

Delta strives to maintain a consistently high level of cleaning service and conform with contract and mandatory health and environmental requirements.

The staff of Delta are aware of the need for good customer relationships to achieve customer satisfaction.

Quality Commitment

Delta shall allocate adequate resources and facilities to ensure quality of product and service compliance with agreed specifications and also the comfort and safety of staff.

To ensure Delta quality objectives are achieved and maintained, Delta has adopted the following strategy:-

  • Implement a Quality Management System based on ISO 9001 - 2000.
  • Monitor customer feedback to obtain a measure of the effectiveness of the quality policy.
  • Continuously evaluate systems and refine the quality policy to achieve a consistent provision of Quality service that satisfies the customers changing requirements.

Customer perspective

Delta regards communication with customers as critical to the effectiveness of the quality system.
Above all else, this organisation is committed throughout its operations to the production of the highest quality service.

Health and safety policy

Delta Cleaning Co Ltd is committed to improving health and safety practices within its own organisation and to implement a Health and Safety Management System in accordance with AS/NZS 4804:1997 - Occupational Health and Management systems. Through the continued adherence to the Policies and procedures detailed in its Health and Safety Manual, Delta Cleaning Co Limited seeks to promote safe and healthy work place procedures and environments for all Company staff and clients.

Employment policy

The Delta Cleaning Company has cleaning contracts with several government departments and agencies as well as with the private sector. Government organisations frequently handle sensitive and private information, which has to be protected at all times. To comply with the security requirements of these organisations, Delta Cleaning has given an undertaking that all Delta Cleaning staff employed in these areas will have security and background checks carried out to meet an approved Government standard.

Employment status

Delta Cleaning will only employ staff who are entitled to work in New Zealand under the terms of the New Zealand Immigration Act 1991. This means that Delta Cleaning will only employ:

  • New Zealand Citizens;
  • Australian Citizens;
  • Cook Island Citizens;
  • Nationals of foreign countries who have permanent residence status in New Zealand;
  • Nationals of foreign countries who do not have permanent residency but do have a current New Zealand work permit.

    (This does not include foreign students on temporary work permits issued for educational purposes).

Background checks

Anyone applying for work at Delta Cleaning will be required to give written permission, under the terms of the Privacy Act 1993, for background checks to be obtained from their previous employer (where applicable) and from at least two character referees who have known the applicant for at least six months.

Criminal record checks

Anyone applying to be employed by Delta Cleaning will be required to give written permission for the Department for Courts to release to Delta Cleaning all criminal history information about the applicant held on the department's computer system. [1]

Applicants will be required to meet the Delta Cleaning Employment Criteria standard.

Proof of identity

All applicants for employment by Delta Cleaning will be required to produce proof of identity, and where relevant, their residency status and work permit. Only the following documents will be accepted as proof of identity:

  • Birth Certificate
  • NZ Drivers Licence
  • Passport.

In exceptional circumstances New Zealand, Cook Island and Australian citizens who are unable to produce proof of identity as specified above, will be required to make a Statutory Declaration.

Confidentiality & integrity agreement

All employees of Delta Cleaning Company will be required to sign a Confidentiality and Integrity Agreement. The agreement means that an employee will not divulge or discuss any information or material which comes to their attention as a result of their cleaning duties in client's premises. Employees are also expected to behave in an honest and appropriate manner at all times and not bring Delta Cleaning into disrepute.

Any employee who is proven to be in breach of this agreement will be liable to instant dismissal at the discretion of the Delta Cleaning management.

Vetting agency

Background, reference, employment status and criminal history checks will be carried out by a security organisation, licenced under the Private Investigators and Security Guards Act 1974, nominated by Delta Cleaning for this purpose.
